The International Research Bowl is an exciting and dynamic academic challenge that brings together the brightest minds to showcase their research expertise in a fast-paced, interactive format.
The competition is structured in a “bowl” format, with teams or individual researchers competing against each other, answering queries related to research and its broader implications.
Format:
1. Open test:
Given to all the participants, you will have 1 week to complete the test (July 10th – July 17th)
2. Bowl Round:
The top 8 competitors per level will go into a head-to-head bowl style competition to determine who is crowned the International Champion.
Junior Research Bowl
Ages 14 and under
The Junior Level is designed to nurture young minds by introducing them to the fundamentals of research and critical thinking. Participants explore a variety of scientific, social, or interdisciplinary topics, and the competition encourages exploration across diverse disciplines, fostering a spirit of discovery and intellectual growth.
The Senior Level challenges participants to delve deeper into advanced research methodologies and tackle complex problems in science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM), or humanities.
Emphasis is placed on innovation, real-world applicability, and clear communication of research findings. Judging criteria prioritize depth of knowledge, originality, and the potential impact of the research.
With a blend of intellectual rigor and competitive spirit, this event encourages innovative thinking, clear communication, and the ability to thrive under pressure.
